Tyler Heilman Memorial Fund
Tyler Heilman was from Portland, Oregon and graduated from Quest University in May 2015. He was 22 years old when he died tragically in a climbing accident. In memory of Tyler, who was a Summer Research Fellow, his family and friends created the Tyler Heilman Memorial Fund, administered by the Quest Research, Scholarly and Creative Works Committee, which sponsors the annual Research Colloquium. The Colloquium speaker also collaborates with a Quest Summer Research Fellow and Quest host faculty on the student’s research project.
Strangway Archive Project Fund This project currently is fully funded.
The Strangway Archive is a collection of interesting and rare materials, many of which relate to the NASA Apollo and Voyager missions. The collection was donated over ten years ago by the founder and first chancellor of Quest, Dr. David Strangway. Up until this summer, the collection, which includes 3500+ items, was still largely untouched. Led by Dr. Jamie Kemp, Quest Arts and Humanities Tutor (and Interim CAO), teams of students have engaged with items from the collection during Dr. Kemp’s classes. One of her students began the process of archiving the Strangway collection. The archive will be a research gem for current and future Quest students and faculty as well as a significant historical contribution.
Area of Greatest Need
Donations will be directed to areas of greatest needed guided by the QUF Target Areas of Support.
